Opening an interior design studio is a goal shared by many architects and designers. Everyone dreams of turning his passion into a profession. And yet, it seems that only a few succeed.
Since I started the blog of Freelance Architects, the questions I receive most often are … “Is it difficult to open an interior design studio ?”
Or… “What is the first step I need to take to avoid failure?”
“I already have an interior design studio . How can I make it grow? “
This post you will find out what are the steps necessary to lay a solid foundation for your professional (and entrepreneurial) success in the field of interior design. But first, let’s take a small step back.
IS IT REALLY WORTH OPENING AN INTERIOR DESIGN STUDIO TODAY IN ITALY?
According to the numbers, it would seem so. In fact, Italy is the leading country in Europe in terms of the number of active companies (29,200) in the design sector, second by turnover and third by number of employees and added value ( source ). Yet many interior design professionals think that Italy is a country in crisis. They believe that today, opening an interior design studio and bringing it to success is not only difficult … But practically impossible. To clarify this point, some time ago I published a very important article here on Freelance Architects.
